Phantom Blade Zero reportedly has a 135GB download for your PS5

According to the PlayStation Game Size X account, which tracks internal PlayStation Network data, the highly anticipated action RPG Phantom Blade Zero would require about 134.857GB on PS5, one of the biggest day-one downloads of the entire current generation. Developer S-GAME hasn't confirmed or commented on this figure so far.

Preload starting October 27

Preloading on PS5 and PC would open on October 27, 2026 at 2 AM GMT, two days ahead of the official October 29, 2026 release, also at 2 AM GMT. The game is fully digital: no physical install option, everything has to come through the download.

A release already delayed by 50 days

Phantom Blade Zero was originally set to launch on September 9, 2026. S-GAME announced a 50-day delay in early June 2026, citing extra polish time: reworked character models and overhauled environments, with the studio stressing the visuals needed to hold up even without ray tracing. S-GAME's CEO apologized to players for the delay at the time.

A highly anticipated martial-arts action game

Developed by Chinese studio S-GAME, Phantom Blade Zero follows Soul, an assassin resurrected after death and set on a 66-day revenge quest. The game director insists it isn't a soulslike despite some shared traits (bonfire-style bells, multi-phase bosses), describing it instead as a "kungfu punk" mix of choreographed combos, stealth, and assassinations. The main story is said to run 20 to 30 hours. The game launches as a timed PS5 console exclusive (priced at $59.99 for the standard edition, confirmed by S-GAME) and on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, with an Xbox version planned later.

A figure to take with the usual caution

The 134.857GB figure comes solely from the PlayStation Game Size account, generally considered reliable for tracking PSN metadata but not an official source. Other reports cite slightly different sizes depending on the platform and when the measurement was taken, and the final size at launch could still shift (a day-one patch, for instance).

The bottom line

Phantom Blade Zero would reportedly weigh in at roughly 135GB on PS5 per an unofficial source tracking PSN data, for a release now set for October 29, 2026 after a 50-day delay. Nothing is confirmed by S-GAME on the exact file size, but planning for plenty of free storage space seems like a good idea.
